Take a look at this powerful art installation in Bali! #makeartnotwar MAKE ART NOT WAR is a landart installation by German artist liina klauss in collaboration with the NGO @sungaiwatch. The artist is known to paint with plastic waste instead of paint. For this installation last Sunday, over 100 volunteers placed almost 20,000 found flip-flops on a street adding up to a colourful anti-war slogan. "Art has the capacity to bring out the best in people, working together peacefully, spreading good vibes and making something beautiful together", says the artist. The flip-flops themselves were collected from rivers during a 1-year effort by SungaiWatch. The Indonesian NGO is dedicated to cleaning Bali's waterways and preventing plastic waste entering the ocean. The installation was created within one day and disassembled by evening. All of the shoe soles will be repurposed, repaired and recycled by a collective of artists and brands in Bali. #bali #powerfulart #artinstallation #upcycling #antiwar #peaceful #cleaningbali #plasticwaste #prevention #landart #baliart #artistfeature #activist #danslaughterjd #brokerassociate #sfrealtor #vanguardproperties Copy sourced from @liinaklauss - Artist & Activist Photos sourced from Bali Livin Instagram @balilivin
