🇺🇸 I spent three days at RSAC in San Francisco last month talking to cybersecurity founders, CROs, and GTM leaders. 💡 The technical conversations were fascinating. But what kept coming up - more than any product or threat vector, was hiring. Specifically: how hard it's become to build a commercial team that actually works. A few patterns stood out: 🔹 Companies that survived the downturn by cutting sales are now trying to rebuild, but the talent market has changed around them 🔹 The "hire a senior AE and figure out the rest later" model is breaking down fast 🔹 CS and Sales Engineering hiring is picking up after being deprioritised for two years - and competition for that talent is already fierce We took the time to write it all up.
