Lending partner onboarding used to take Upstart anywhere from three to six months. Today it takes four weeks, with a goal of two by the end of the year. What made that possible was a three-way partnership where everyone knew their role: Workato providing the infrastructure; API People owning the build and core banking connectors for systems like Fiserv, Jack Henry, and FIS; and Upstart managing partner relationships day-to-day.
