TerraPower just broke ground on a nuclear reactor in Wyoming. A brand new nuclear build in the US. About 1,000 construction workers needed. And I keep thinking about where they're going to come from. I talked to Tyree McCall a while back. He walked onto the Vogtle construction site at 19. Laborer. No nuclear background. Something he said stuck with me: in nuclear, your name goes on the work you do. Literally. Your signature is on pipes that stay in that plant for decades. That's a different relationship with your job than most people have ever experienced. Kemmerer, Wyoming is about to need people like Tyree. People willing to show up, learn a culture most of us have never been exposed to, and take ownership of work that actually matters.
