Great piece by my friend Martin Ohneberg in the recent Vorarlberger Nachrichten on the real issue about AI. He is right about everything. AI will not replace humans. It amplifies us. In good and bad. If we like it or not. His piece is too good to remain unshared. So voilà: https://lnkd.in/dGc6kzH4 I tried an experiment and took the liberty to translate Martin's text into English. I used AI for this. With a very interesting result...: 🔸 5 major mistakes in the translation 🔸 some o/w stating the exact opposite of what Martin was saying. That's a lot if not too much in a 500words text, no? But the big (and worrying?) thing is this: 🔸 AI even added a whole paragraph that wasn't in the original text. While directionally the new paragraph was to Martin's point, AI completely improvised it. The whole middle section of the right column was created by AI. Not translated, created. I only asked AI for a translation of Martin's text from German to English. I didn't ask for anything else but translation. AI however thought I needed some explanation and interpretation. 😂 Wow. My take on this: When work with AI, make sure you use your built-in HI, too. Happy Sunday! 😉
