In this work, we present and experimentally validate a ๐บ๐๐น๐๐ถ-๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฐ๐๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ-๐ฝ๐ต๐๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐น ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ that enables coordinated voltage control between Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) grids. Some highlights of the work: ๐น Cyber-physical implementation using heterogeneous controllers and communication protocols ๐น Controller Hardware-in-the-Loop (CHIL) validation based on real measurements from the Forschungszentrum Jรผlich campus ๐น Real-time integration of a large grid-connected Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) directly into the control loop ๐น Experimental demonstration of fast voltage violation mitigation under realistic operating conditions Bridging advanced control algorithms with real hardware is a crucial step toward making future smart grids both intelligent and deployable.
