Dr. Paul Q. Judge, born in 1977 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, developed an early interest in technology influenced by his mother’s work in technical education. He attended Morehouse College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and later completed both a Master’s and Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, building expertise in cybersecurity, networking, and advanced computing. Judge began his career with IBM and NASA before entering the cybersecurity sector. He became Chief Technology Officer at CipherTrust, helping grow the company into a nationally recognized email security leader prior to its acquisition by Secure Computing. He later founded Purewire, which was acquired by Barracuda Networks, where he served in senior leadership through its public offering. He is best known as co-founder of Pindrop, a voice-security company that protects financial institutions and enterprises from fraud through voice authentication technology. The company has raised over $200 million in funding and is widely recognized as one of Atlanta’s most successful technology ventures. Beyond his entrepreneurial success, Judge is a prolific inventor and investor. He is credited as lead inventor on more than 30 patented and patent-pending cybersecurity technologies and has invested in over 100 startups. He also founded Panoramic Ventures and the Open Opportunity Fund, supporting and mentoring emerging technology founders. His contributions have earned recognition from Fortune’s “40 Under 40,” MIT Technology Review, and numerous industry organizations.
