At the intersection of computer magic🪄, AI exploration 🧭, and Data Science 🧪
I've been reading Douglas Hofstadter’s 1979 classic, Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid (GEB). Not only is it a fantastic book—it's astonishing how relevant its ideas remain for some of today’s hottest topics, including #LLMs and #generativeAI. Inspired by finishing the third chapter, I reflected on how GEB’s explorations of self-reference, formal systems, and meaning shed light on phenomena like AI “hallucinations” and the inherent limits of language models. If you work in the field, or you’re simply curious about where logic meets creativity in modern AI, I hope you’ll find my article valuable. Would love to hear your thoughts and start a conversation!
