This was a fun one! š„ We recorded legendary drummer Morgan Ć gren doing a drum solo, then wrote an Orchestral String Cue based on that and recorded it! Just an example of how we love to use musical improvisations as a starting point to create something unexpected. Therese so much talent in these musicians so why not use it? That type of collaboration just makes the process so much more fun and collaborative! From Morganās drum solo, we selected rhythmic gestures and phrases and translated them into a tight staccato string melody. In the video, you first hear the drum solo on its own, followed by the string recording (Done by the Stockholm Studio Orchestra at IMRSV Music), and finally the combined result with guitars and more. Extra shoutout to condcutor Daniel Migdal for making the strings play this in just a couple of takes, crazy. When AI-slop seems to take over the world, I like to run the other wayā¦
