Many thanks to National Councillor Martin Bäumle and the Swiss Power-to-X Collaborative Innovation Network SPIN for convening its member session at Switzerland’s Federal Palace (Bundeshaus) in Bern – where the country’s energy policies take shape. I appreciated the opportunity to contribute to the discussion, connect with other members, and reflect on the role that renewable fuels and Power-to-X technologies can play in advancing Switzerland’s energy transition. 💡 As Switzerland refines its energy strategy, it is essential that storage and fuel pathways – including green hydrogen and other low-carbon fuels – are developed with end-use compatibility in mind. Solutions must be scalable, dispatchable, and ready for X-to-Power applications in a decarbonized system – helping to bridge Switzerland’s “Winterstromlücke” (winter electricity gap) and ensure long-term system resilience. At GE Vernova, we are committed to supporting this transition – with proven gas turbine technology, CCS readiness, and fuel-flexible solutions designed for the energy systems of tomorrow. #FutureOfEnergy #SwissEnergyTransition #Decarbonization #PowerToX #SystemStability
