We are proud to announce that our own Marie Hammer, Director of Industry Affairs, has been elected President of the Variable Speed Drives (VSD) Group and a member of the CEMEP Presidential Board. This leadership role comes at a critical time. With motor-driven systems accounting for 70% of industrial electricity use, their optimization is central to Europe's competitiveness, energy security, and decarbonization efforts. As Marie puts it: "The gap between potential and action is the greatest challenge we face. The policies are in place, and the business case is proven, yet vast amounts of energy are wasted every single day. The technology to solve this is here now. My mission, together with the members of CEMEP, is to close this implementation gap." At Danfoss Drives, we are fully committed to supporting Marie and CEMEP in this vital work.
