250 weeks. That is how long we’ve been publishing Economic Development and Developers in the News. Every week, the same thing becomes clear: Economic development is not an abstract policy idea. It is people doing practical, local, often unglamorous work to help their communities become stronger. - It is brownfield grants. - It is infrastructure. - It is workforce. - It is entrepreneurship. - It is buildings being reused. - It is sites becoming projects. - It is local leaders pushing one more thing forward. That is the story I love telling. Because economic development is happening everywhere, and the people doing the work deserve to be seen. Here’s to the first 250. And to the next 250.
