Sharing some frames from the 2nd round of interviews for our documentary project exploring the duality of our Daniel surname from the viewpoints of the ancestors of the slave and slave trader. My late brother Johnny started this research many years ago when he traced as far back to John Issac Daniel who was our last ancestor born a slave, and my brilliant cousin Gloria Daniel @bigtomatocompany has taken up that mantle and collectively we are making the film. A feature documentary about the Daniel’s made by the Daniel’s. The last frame is a snippet of the teaser trailer with a re-imagining of John Issac beautifully sculptured by Ali Yanya, husband of Sandra Daniel @sandrairenedaniel We’re at the start of an interesting journey which will involve as many Daniel’s as we can.
