Today, Rijkswaterstaat launched the research and development phase of Power2Tow: An innovation partnership to develop near zero-emission Emergency Response Towing Vessels (ERTVs) for the North Sea. We are proud that our consortium, Multraship Towage & Salvage, Damen and Stillstrom, has been selected as one of three partners to take this challenge forward. Together we combine deep sea towage and salvage experience, shipbuilding expertise and offshore charging innovation to design vessels that can respond rapidly to vessels in distress while operating on clean energy. It's a significant step towards a safer and more sustainable North Sea, and towards the further decarbonisation of our sector. We look forward to developing, testing and refining our solution in close collaboration with Rijkswaterstaat over the coming phase.
