We are delighted to announce that the Damen-built Commissioning Service Operations Vessel (CSOV) 9020 Windcat Rotterdam has been nominated for the prestigious KNVTS Ship of the Year Award! The award recognises Dutch-designed vessels that stand out for their technical innovation - Windcat Rotterdam certainly fits that description! The first of six vessels in the Elevation Series, she was developed together with our client, Windcat, to support the construction, commissioning and maintenance of offshore energy projects. Designed to set new standards in comfort, performance and decarbonisation, she features a range of efficiency-enhancing solutions that, together, reduce carbon emissions by up to 30%. She is also future-ready, prepared for operations on hydrogen fuel. The winner will be announced on 2 November this year at the Maritime Awards Gala in Hilversum the Netherlands.
