Daimler Truck and KEYOU collaborate to advance hydrogen-powered transport. 🚛🌱 Both parties have signed an agreement to bring vehicles powered by hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2ICE) to market. Combining Daimler Truck’s proven truck and engine platforms with KEYOU’s H2 ICE expertise, the partnership aims to accelerate the market introduction of hydrogen powered drive technology. The first vehicle, the KEYOU HICE.40 tractor unit based on the Mercedes-Benz Actros L, is planned to be launched already in 2027. As part of Daimler Truck’s dual track strategy to decarbonize transport with battery-electric and hydrogen powered vehicles, hydrogen combustion engines complement battery-electric and fuel-cell technologies.
