Wrocław is ready to plug in. 🔌🚌 MPK Wrocław has ordered five articulated Mercedes-Benz eCitaro G buses, delivered by Daimler Buses Polska after a completed tender procedure, with an option for 15 more. The investment also covers charging infrastructure delivered by Daimler Buses Solutions: five mobile plug-in chargers and a pantograph fast-charging station at the Litewska Street bus loop. Under the hood are the latest fourth-generation NMC lithium-ion batteries, manufactured in Poland and built for demanding urban operation. A new driver attention monitoring system spots signs of fatigue, Frontguard Assist warns of collisions ahead, and Sideguard Assist uses radar to cover blind spots with visual, acoustic, and haptic alerts. Traffic Sign Assist keeps an eye on speed limits. Inside, passengers find air conditioning, ergonomic seating, an extensive information system, ticket validators with card payment, USB ports, an induction loop for hearing aids, and flexible "Combo" spaces for prams and wheelchairs.
