28 reasons Kiel is going electric. 🚀 KVG Kieler Verkehrsgesellschaft and Daimler Buses have signed a contract for 28 battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro G articulated buses, plus an option for five more. The order follows KVG's success in an EU-wide tender. "With the procurement of the new eCitaro G, KVG is consistently continuing its expansion of emission-free mobility," said KVG Managing Director Andreas Schulz. KVG's fleet already comprises 218 vehicles, including 122 electric buses. The four-door eCitaro G buses feature modern NMC4 battery technology with five battery packs of 111 kWh each, charged via pantograph. Delivery starts with a pilot vehicle in Q3 2027, with regular service planned from the end of 2027. More details in the link in the comments. 👇 #DaimlerBuses
