World Health Organization, together with implementation partner City Cancer Challenge (C/Can), is expanding efforts under the WHO Global Breast Cancer Initiative (GBCI) into additional cities across low- and middle-income countries from 2026 to 2028. C/Can supports locally led, city-driven approaches to strengthening equitable cancer care systems. After reaching 81,800+ female cancer patients, training 450+ healthcare professionals, and delivering government-endorsed action plans across Tbilisi (Georgia), Kumasi (Ghana), Cali (Colombia), and Phnom Penh (Cambodia) in Phase 1, the initiative is expanding for three more years from 2026 in Phase 2. Alongside Eli Lilly, Pfizer, MSD, and AstraZeneca, Daiichi Sankyo is proud to support this cross-sector collaboration focused on strengthening equitable access to breast cancer care. Because where a woman lives should never determine her chance of surviving breast cancer. šļø #GBCI š Click to learn more: https://lnkd.in/gtry_PR4
