In Malawi, more active market systems are a positive development for farmers adapting to a changing climate. Smallholders participating in a community-based project funded by The Scottish Government have boosted their use of organic fertilizer, doubled their maize production, and increased the frequency of harvests. All of which makes them more resilient.
