A new generation of humanitarian partnerships is beginning to take shape. As humanitarian needs continue to rise amid tighter resources and increasingly complex operating environments, the humanitarian sector is rethinking how partnerships are built and how support can most effectively reach people affected by crisis. Next week, DAI is convening a distinguished group of speakers and participants at the House of Lords to discuss how the UK’s diplomatic reach, technical expertise, and operational capability can work alongside national and local actors, multilateral organisations, and other partners to support effective, accountable, and locally led responses. We are delighted that Baroness Chapman, Minister of State for International Development and Africa, will join this timely conversation about what these challenges and opportunities mean for the UK’s evolving humanitarian role.
