QA Engineer at Beetroot Lab

I did it. A while ago I decided to quit a, what felt like a, safe and comfortable workplace at a big corporation. I had tried to transition out to something else because something didn’t sit right with me for the last few years. Don’t get me wrong, I learned a lot and took away much from my time at Ubisoft. And the people, enough can’t be said about the talent that the company has ammased. It’s been a pleasure and a privilege working with such great folks like Frédéric CORNU, Hector Goasguen, Sarah Hamadi, Marianne Dubois, Guillaume SOLA, Germain Lefebvre, Wendy EMMANUEL, Camille-Molly Martin, Gabriel Esteves, Nicolas Hognon, Damien Alario, Hugo Lucas, Elodie Leroy, Fabio Centracchio, Jerome Levy and more. Forgive me if we’ve crossed paths and your name is not on the post, I’ve certainly got some fond memories of everyone I’ve worked with while working on such franchises like the Tom Clancy’s, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Just Dance and Star Wars. Just writing this makes me feel a little sentimental, but in the best of ways. Some of you have alredy moved on, and I’m joining those statistics. I myself have moved on to greener pastures and have actually returned to my hometown of Riga after many years abroad and traveling the world in search of knowledge and wealth. The baggage I’ve accumulated is priceless. I want to say thank you to everyone on my journey so far, the last chapter in France has been a fond one. That said, I’ve not moved away from the industry. To my pleasant surprise, over the years much has changed in my home country of Latvia, and there are now a couple local studios crafting some interesting gems. I want to give a shoutout to Beetroot Lab that’s taken a chance with me and has welcomed me aboard for my next adventure. Check out Zeeverse if you’re interested to see the latest game we’re now working on. Much love, Dags
