Director Central Europe | build, run and secure with confidence | leading with curiosity

Five years in dog years - that's what nine months at Datadog feels like 🐶 That's what happens when you move from selling to finance and HR teams at Workday into the world of DevOps and observability. A lot has happened since March, and it surely hasn't been the most boring year of my career so far. 1️⃣ First, this new world was vastly unfamiliar territory. Thanks Dr. Fabian L. for recommending The Phoenix Project. What's clear: software development is the moving force of innovation. The future isn't built in steel but in lines of code (vibe coded or otherwise). 2️⃣ Second, we started building our enterprise sales team across Central and Eastern Europe. I got to know new cultures, visited new cities, and worked with incredible people. While many Western European economies are slowing down, Eastern European markets are skipping steps and growing at speeds others can only envy. All underpinned by a tech-savvy workforce. The prospects for Poland, Georgia, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and others are amazing. 3️⃣ Third, I got to know what makes Datadog special. Deeply rooted in builder culture, still founder-led, and focused on shipping the best product. Bits AI is a great example - less marketing hype, more real impact for DevOps teams globally 🚀 The next year won't be boring either. But I'm excited for what's ahead with a great team, company, and markets 💪 Thanks to everyone who made the transition possible, thanks for answering a ton of stupid questions and thanks for all the joint hustle.
