Proud to share the publication of our article “Three-dimensional distensibility of the aorta derived from four-dimensional cardiovascular magnetic resonance in young and middle-aged adults with Marfan syndrome” in the Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. In this work we: - Used an in-house developed 3D cine bSSFP sequence and a deep-learning based automatic segmentation pipeline to quantify aortic motion - Introduced 3D distensibility and displacement as novel measures of arterial stiffness - Applied this methodology in a cohort of adults with Marfan syndrome - Found abnormal 3D distensibility and displacement in Marfan syndrome patients compared to healthy volunteers - Established a foundation for future longitudinal studies Grateful to all co-authors: Renske Merton Bibi Schreurs Roland van Kimmenade Aart Nederveen Moniek Cox Arthur Scholte Eric Schrauben Gustav Strijkers Vivian de Waard Daniëlle Robbers-Visser Maarten Groenink Pim van Ooij https://lnkd.in/ern3Uskp
