Reusing microplates is an attractive strategy for reducing consumable costs and minimizing plate waste in high-throughput workflows. However, successful plate reuse depends on rigorous validation to ensure that no residual material from a previous run carries over and compromises subsequent results. This makes the washing step a critical factor in determining whether microplate reuse is scientifically viable.
