“𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿.” For too long, we were told that our languages were only fit for lullabies, kitchen talks, or cries of pain Never for education, governance, or innovation. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀: 📚 When a language dies, a whole library collapses. 🌍 When a language lives, a whole people can breathe. Today, I stand alongside millions of Africans to say it loud: 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲. They deserve a place in schools, in parliaments, on keyboards, in hospitals, in research labs, in voting booths, in startup pitches, and in every child’s dreams. They deserve the attention of ministers. The respect of intellectuals. The investment of institutions. And above all… the love of the next generation. 🗣 𝗜𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 It is our systems that must acknowledge their worth. So today, I ask again to every policymaker, every teacher, every student, every parent, every journalist: 👉🏾 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙚 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙪𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜?
