CYENS Centre of Excellence was represented last week at the Digital Conference “Shaping the Next Digital Frontier”, held in Nicosia in the context of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU 2026. Prof. Vasos Vassiliou, Leader of the Smart Networked Systems Group at CYENS and Professor at the University of Cyprus, moderated the panel discussion “Europe’s DNA Challenge”, addressing the future of Europe’s digital networks, connectivity resilience, infrastructure investment and the balance between innovation, regulation and strategic autonomy. The discussion connected directly with CYENS’ mission: turning research in smart systems, emerging technologies, connectivity, digital twins, AI and cybersecurity into real impact for society, cities, industry and public policy.
