CyberCX was proud to support CyberConnect 2026 in Canberra, convening leaders and experts across government, industry and the cyber security ecosystem to discuss the most pressing issues and emerging trends. Joining a panel discussion upon the release of a landmark new report revealing the systemic barriers limiting women’s participation and progression in cyber security, CyberCX CEO John Paitaridis highlighted that meaningful inclusion begins with intentional cultural change that reshapes how we attract, recruit, and retain cyber security talent across all levels. CyberCX's Jordan Newnham and Brendan Wilkinolls examined how Australia can harness AI's potential responsibly while staying ahead of the ways adversaries are also putting it to work. "Cyber security isn't being replaced by AI, it's being reorganised around it," said Brendan. "The discipline moves from finding code bugs to governing complex socio-technical systems, and the workforce demand keeps going up."
