Avi Cohen has been appointed Senior Director, Technology at Qualcomm, bringing more than a decade of leadership experience across advanced semiconductor packaging, operations, quality, and product engineering. In this role, Avi will contribute to Qualcomm’s continued focus on strengthening innovation, manufacturing scalability, and operational excellence across its semiconductor technology portfolio. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Avi served as Vice President Operations at Alphawave Semi and Banias Labs acquired by Alphawave IP, where he led advanced packaging strategy, NPI execution, manufacturing partnerships, qualification processes, and production ramp activities for SerDes-based ASIC platforms. Earlier, he held senior engineering and packaging leadership positions at Apple and DSP Group driving reliability engineering, package development, supplier qualification, yield optimization, thermal analysis, and high-volume manufacturing initiatives.
