Congratulations to Associate Professor Lien Duong, who was awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Vietnam. One of only four individual recipients worldwide – and the only awardee in Australia for 2026 – the award recognises her outstanding contributions to the Vietnamese community overseas and her work strengthening ties between Vietnam and Australia. Since 2022, Lien has played a leading role across 10 Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade-funded projects delivered through Curtin, supporting policy development and capacity building in areas including energy transition, carbon markets, sustainable development and digital transformation. Beyond academia, Lien is active in community work, serving as VASEA Vice President and contributing to initiatives supporting disaster-affected communities in Vietnam.
