Some careers follow tidy, predictable paths... But Gracie Garner's definitely didn't and that’s exactly what's made it so brilliant! At 18, while most of her friends were deciding between university halls and gap years, she stepped into the prison service. First as an Officer, then as a Maths Teacher, helping people build confidence, capability and purpose. After a couple of years in the Prison Service, she felt ready for a change. Having previously worked a Christmas season at Currys and remembering the energy, the people and the pace, she decided to return. Through roles from Sales Colleague to Assistant Manager, she gained new skills, grew her confidence and discovered how much she loved supporting others. 🫶 She and her partner (who she met at Currys ❤️) moved from the Midlands to the North East for a fresh start and with that, also came a new job and challenge. Moving into a Business Customer Manager role with Currys Business. A whole new side of the company. New systems. New customers. New challenges, but she took the chance and it became the start of something even bigger. She's continued to thrive, building strong relationships, developing her team of Account Executives and diving deep into how this part of the business operates and the wide variety of customers it serves. It gave her ownership, pace and the chance to make a real impact. 🚀 And now? She’s about to begin a new chapter as a Sales Coach, helping Currys Business colleagues build confidence, capability and exceptional customer relationships - the very things she’s always been passionate about! From teaching in one of the most demanding learning environments to coaching business teams across the UK, Gracie‑Lou’s journey shows that the most meaningful careers aren’t linear. They’re built by saying yes to what feels right. 🌟 #CareerStories #CurrysCareers #CurrysBusiness #LifeAtCurrys #WomenInLeadership #FutureOfRetail
