From data centres to sustainable commercial buildings, organisations are relying on more sophisticated building systems than ever before. But just as MEP is becoming more critical to project success, clients are facing greater uncertainty. Global supply chains and the use of energy-intensive materials such as steel, copper and aluminium make MEP systems particularly vulnerable to disruption, price fluctuations and geopolitical events. That's why we've appointed Michael Gool as our new National Head of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) for the UK. Michael brings more than 25 years of experience across the commercial real estate, residential, high-tech and infrastructure sectors. His appointment strengthens our ability to help clients navigate volatility and implement increasingly complex building systems. Michael will lead our established UK MEP offering. He will also work closely with specialists across our global business, helping clients manage risk, improve project outcomes and get more value from their MEP investments. As Andy Dedman, Regional Managing Director, London and the South East, says: "MEP is playing an increasingly influential role in project success. Whether delivering data centres, improving sustainability performance or creating high-quality commercial environments, clients need specialist expertise they can trust. Michael's experience strengthens our ability to help clients build resilience and deliver projects with greater certainty."
