The School of Hotel and Tourism Management at CUHK Business School is delighted to reveal two awarded projects under the Living Labs@CUHK SHTM Grant Competition. This initiative supports research that combines academic depth with practical innovation to transform hotel and tourism operations. By granting HK$100,000 to each project, we are enabling field experiments that bridge the gap between theory and practice within our unique teaching hotel environment.🌟✨ Awarded Projects: -Mindfulness Training for Hotel Staff: A Mixed‐Methods Randomised Controlled Trial Prof Jennifer Tang Yee Man of the Department of Educational Psychology is leading a mixed-methods randomised controlled trial to integrate mindfulness as a core professional skill. -Saving Private Ryan - When GenAI Meets the Less Experienced Employees Prof Myunghwan Lee of the Department of Decisions, Operations and Technology is pursuing design science research to examine how a GenAI-based concierge enhances customer experience and supports less experienced employees.
