I'm very pleased to share that my article, "Overcoming Modernity, Exonerating Empire: Yoshimitsu Yoshihiko and the Ironies of Early Shōwa Catholicism," is out in the most recent volume of Monumenta Nipponica. Published by Sophia University in Tokyo, MN is among the oldest journals of Japanese studies in English. I'm incredibly grateful to the editorial board for their generous feedback on my manuscript and their willingness to publish a young scholar. You can read my work on Catholic intellectuals in World War II Japan at the link below, or message me for a PDF!
