A map of European clinical research in metabolism and nutrition disorders - and a few patterns worth noticing. Germany leads with 175 trials, followed by Spain (146) and France (118). No surprises at the top. The middle of the ranking is where it gets interesting. Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium form a band of countries running between 68 and 107 trials each - a mix of large Western markets and Central European hubs that have quietly become essential to the European trial landscape. Czechia, Denmark and Sweden complete the TOP 10, proving that smaller countries with strong research infrastructure remain highly relevant. Three takeaways: Scale matters, but it is not everything. Central Europe is no longer peripheral in clinical research. Geographic diversity is one of Europe's biggest strengths as a trial destination. For patients, this distribution is good news - access to clinical trials in this therapeutic area is broader than the headlines suggest. ๐ We are CTIN โ Clinical Trials Information Network ๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐โ๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ ๐ Follow for clinical research market insights ๐ค Share to support our mission #ClinicalTrials #Metabolism #Europe Novo Nordisk Eli Lilly and Company AstraZeneca Boehringer Ingelheim MSD Merck Sharpย & Dohme A.G.
