A map of European clinical research in metabolism and nutrition disorders - and a few patterns worth noticing. Germany leads with 175 trials, followed by Spain (146) and France (118). No surprises at the top. The middle of the ranking is where it gets interesting. Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and Belgium form a band of countries running between 68 and 107 trials each - a mix of large Western markets and Central European hubs that have quietly become essential to the European trial landscape. Czechia, Denmark and Sweden complete the TOP 10, proving that smaller countries with strong research infrastructure remain highly relevant. Three takeaways: Scale matters, but it is not everything. Central Europe is no longer peripheral in clinical research. Geographic diversity is one of Europe's biggest strengths as a trial destination. For patients, this distribution is good news - access to clinical trials in this therapeutic area is broader than the headlines suggest. ๐ŸŒ We are CTIN โ†’ Clinical Trials Information Network ๐–๐ž ๐›๐ซ๐ข๐๐ ๐ž ๐„๐ฎ๐ซ๐จ๐ฉ๐žโ€™๐ฌ ๐œ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ ๐Ÿ” Follow for clinical research market insights ๐Ÿค Share to support our mission #ClinicalTrials #Metabolism #Europe Novo Nordisk Eli Lilly and Company AstraZeneca Boehringer Ingelheim MSD Merck Sharpย & Dohme A.G.
