Get to know Mike Hughes, our West Tennessee and North Mississippi Sales Manager! We asked him how he got into the industry, and why he's stayed: "That’s a great question! A headhunter contacted me about a position at Carlisle Syntec. I spent a lot of time researching what turned out to be the top single-ply roofing manufacturer and pursued it. The interview was the worst I’ve ever had, but thankfully, I got hired without any roofing experience and was sent on my way. About 6 years later I merged in with CSL Materials. Why do I stay? Honestly, the old cliche, the company I work for is the main reason. I was always a firm believer that the company doesn’t care. It’s all about the bottom line. This past year was a very difficult time for my family. CSL proved to me that a company does care. I love the competition, daily challenges and the relationships I have built with my customers but its the family aspect of this company that makes it easy to stay."
