Building the foundations of a more resilient biotechnology sector in Malaysia. 💊 We're working closely with partners in Malaysia to strengthen long-term vaccine and medicine manufacturing capability, while supporting a more inclusive and connected biotechnology ecosystem. On the ground, this looks like: 🤝 Working with partners to build local vaccine and medicine manufacturing capability 🤝 Delivering workforce capability and hands-on training 🤝 Progressing a microbial cell vaccine candidate from research to a manufacturable product 🤝 Supporting Malaysia’s ambition to reduce reliance on imported vaccines and strengthen health security. Equally important are the people and partnerships that make this work possible. That’s why we were proud to co‑host the Malaysia–Australia Women in Biotechnology Luncheon in Putrajaya with the Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation. This event brought together researchers, industry leaders and policymakers to strengthen collaboration and leadership pathways across the biotechnology sector. Together, these projects and partnerships are supporting the vaccine ambitions of one of Australia's closest neighbours, and strengthening their regional health resilience.
