2030 is closer than it feels. So what does Australia need to do to achieve our 2030 energy targets? ⚡ The real challenge isn’t building clean energy. It’s aligning the systems that make it work. Our Energy Director, Dr Dietmar Tourbier, has unpacked why the next five years are critical for Australia’s energy transition. As Dietmar explains, while renewables already made up 51 per cent of the National Electricity Market in late 2025, the focus now must shift from generation alone to grid integration, infrastructure, workforce readiness and community engagement.
