Over three nights in late March, six prime movers transported a 334 tonne Siemens Energy generator stator from the Port of Brisbane to Kogan Creek Power Station. Watch highlights from the generator’s road trip in the video below, including when it is carefully guided across a median strip crossover to use the route for oversize, over mass vehicles on the Bremer River Bridge. The total convoy was 150 metres long and was accompanied by police and other escort vehicles for the 307 kilometre journey. The generator stator, along with a smaller 90 tonne generator rotor, will be installed during a planned major overhaul of the power station later this year. Thank you to our logistics and transport providers Fracht Group - Australia, Rex J Andrews and BLIS Logistics. #oversizeload #westerndowns #heavyhaul
