Tian Wei is often seen busily working at the construction site of the Iconic Tower. "I came to Egypt in August of 2018 and now I am the Chief Engineer of the Iconic Tower project," he said. At the age of 37 this year, he is both a Doctor of Engineering and a Senior Engineer. After joining CSCEC (Egypt), he continued to promote technological innovation and productivity. With his excellent technical research ability, he successfully reduced the curtain wall construction period to only 10 months, which received recognition by all parties. At the same time, he actively worked with Cairo University, the Research Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Communities of Egypt, the Construction Industry Association and other local institutions to promote exchanges between China and Egypt in the construction industry. He also delivered a special report at the first international Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in Egypt to share his experience in construction technology. He led the project "Key Technology of Super High-rise Construction in Desert Area" to conduct systematic research on key technologies such as complex foundation construction, building structure and curtain wall construction, which helped the industry development.
