Recently, I had the honor of directing the sixth annual Illuminate Dance Showcase, a performance that aims to illuminate the different cultural dance teams at Cal Poly. Thank you to Ryan Gruss and Clint Bryson along with the staff at Performing Arts Center San Luis Obispo who make sure we have a platform and stage to show what we’ve got along with Avanti Gummaraju and Isabella McLoy who have acted as mentor figures to me during the entire planning process. Special thanks to Alex L., Joie Rahn, Mena Kim and our media/graphics team for elevating the show to another level with their impeccable branding, and, of course, this wouldn’t be possible without the love that all of our dancers have for their heritage and craft!
