We’re delighted to announce that Crowdcube is exclusively managing the employee selling and investor purchasing process in a £45million employee secondary share sale for Moneybox, one of the UKs fastest-growing wealth management platforms. In our role as Registered Auction Agent for the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) Private Securities Market (PSM), from Tuesday July 14 eligible Moneybox employees can offer to sell their shares through the Crowdcube platform, with an auction for the shares using taking place later in the month. It caps quite a week for us and the LSEs PSM - following on from last week’s Wayve Employee Secondary, together this July we’ve been involved in employee secondary transactions worth over £100m, helping employees unlock some of the value they’ve created. As Europe’s leading private market liquidity platform, Crowdcube is seeing a massive increase in the number of companies looking to complete secondary share sales in the next 6-12 months. These are transactions for a wide variety of companies, providing liquidity for employees and early stage investors. Our co-CEO Matt Cooper said: "This continues the growth journey we started with Moneybox in 2020, and further demonstrates Crowdcube and LSEs role at the heart of private market liquidity, executing complex transactions for the benefit of both employees and investors." Karen Kerrigan, Chief Operating Officer at Moneybox, said: “Crowdcube has been a partner to Moneybox since our 2020 crowdfund, and we're pleased to be working together once again on this milestone transaction. We're proud to be the first UK fintech to use the PISCES framework while delivering on our commitment to create long-term value through employee share ownership. Looking ahead, we remain focused on delivering great outcomes for our customers, growing the business sustainably and creating long-term value for our shareholders. We will continue to explore opportunities to provide liquidity for our broader shareholder base, as enabling shareholders to realise long-term value remains an important objective."
