🚒 Smart technology supporting safer emergency vehicle departures   Yesterday, two prismatic variable traffic signs were commissioned at the Turnov Integrated Emergency Centre. During emergency vehicle departures, the signs automatically reduce the speed limit to 70 km/h or 50 km/h.   The project involved the cooperation of Značky Praha and CROSS Zlín. While Značky Praha manufactured the prismatic variable traffic signs, CROSS Zlín delivered the complete control system for their operation. Our scope of delivery included: ✔️ Delivery of the variable traffic signs and their installation. ✔️ Development and deployment of our in-house server application. ✔️ Development of the data interface enabling integration with the Fire Rescue Service information system.   The server application is operated on the Fire Rescue Service infrastructure, while firefighters integrated the control of the signs into their information system via our data interface. This enables the signs to be activated automatically together with the S 13 warning lights whenever emergency vehicles leave the station. The S 13 warning lights themselves were not part of our delivery.   At CROSS Zlín, a.s., we believe there are no small projects.
