Congratulations to Research Ireland who joined our preprint policy framework this spring! Research Ireland's open research policy encourages posting preprints to facilitate prompt promotion of research findings. Open preprint practices are crucial for immediate sharing of scientific research, and our preprint policy framework is a model for promoting preprints. Creative Commons has partnered with ASAPbio and the Gates Foundation to build policy alignment for open preprint practices among research funders and research performing organizations. Members of cOAlition S and other research funders and organizations around the world can choose to be added to the framework too.
