They are hubs to renewable energy resources, strategic ports and offshore basins, key logistics hubs and industrial clusters that will shape Europe's clean energy future. ย The CPMR welcomes the European Commission's growing ambition on #electrification, from the European Grids Package and the forthcoming Electrification Action Plan to initiatives on grid permitting, flexibility, digitalisation, investment and energy system resilience. But ambition alone is not enough. ย โ A successful electrification agenda must reflect territorial realities and empower regions to deliver. ย Our new policy position sets out concrete recommendations to ensure that Europe's grids are fit for purpose and that all regions can fully contribute to a #secure, #competitive and #decarbonised #energy system. The policy position was presented by Artur Manuel Leal da Lima, CPMR Vice-President for Energy and Vice-President of the Regional Governo dos Aรงores (Portugal). ย ๐ Read our new policy position and discover the CPMR's recommendations: https://lnkd.in/eAdRWBnM
