There's no version of Itunuloluwa Fatoki that didn't become an engineer. The signs were there from the beginning. He was the kid who always had something in his hands. Taking things apart, putting things back together, trying to understand how things worked. So when he says, "Engineering chose me," he really means it. He really is one of those people 😅 Over the years, that curiosity has taken him everywhere. From building IoT systems that tracked real-world conditions across different locations, to road-tripping through almost every state in Nigeria, to spending weekends on the tennis court. At first glance, those things seem unrelated, but after talking to him, I realised they're actually the same thing. Curiosity. A desire to understand how things work, a willingness to solve problems, and a love for figuring things out. Tennis, especially. He describes it as a mental game as much as a physical one. You can't think about anything else while you're playing. You have to focus, you have to make decisions, you have to win in your mind before you win on the court. Can you think of anything else that sounds like this? Yep! Engineering. Which is probably why he ended up helping build Cowrywise Kids. When we started building the product, the challenge wasn't teaching children about money. The challenge was making learning feel like play. Making financial education feel less like homework and more like something you'd choose to do for fun. That's where engineers like Itunu come in. They take an idea and figure out how to make it real. They solve problems most users will never see. They make complicated things feel simple and ensure you never have to wonder about any other thing apart from wha the game is teaching you. Meet Itunu. One of the engineers behind Cowrywise Kids and one of the engineers helping us raise the Wealthy Generation. If you are curious about Cowrywise Kids, check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ei8rUpeG
