Cowrywise motion didn’t become good by accident. Over time, we’ve received a lot of comments about how polished, expressive, and alive our motion design feels. But behind every smooth transition or satisfying animation is a tool many creatives avoid: Adobe After Effects. For a lot of people, opening After Effects for the first time feels like being dropped in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with no map. You click around, feel overwhelmed… then gently close the laptop. Not because you’re not creative enough, but because no one showed you the magic before the complexity. We wanted to change that. So our Senior Motion Designer, Oluwadamilare Bello hosted a motion workshop on Saturday, April 4th for our Ambassadors, designed to demystify After Effects and help beginners see what’s actually possible when the right guidance meets curiosity. A room full of Cowrywise Ambassadors, most of whom had never opened the software before, walked in unsure… and walked out excited to keep creating. After the in-class assignment, the most common question was: “Can we try this again at home?” We are so happy the Cowrywise Ambassadors got something out of this workshop and for a tool known for intimidating beginners, that curiosity was the best feedback we could have hoped for. Here’s what the session covered:  — A guided first look at the After Effects interface (no overwhelm)  — Understanding how motion actually works  — A hands-on assignment to practise immediately By the end of the workshop, After Effects no longer felt like a mountain. It felt like a playground. See some of the in-class work below 👇
