This week, we had the privilege of hosting the 2026 Africa Arbitration Academy Flagship Training Programme in our London office. We provided international arbitration training sessions to an engaged group of practicing lawyers, led by Solomon Ebere. Our sessions included: > Exploring creative procedural mechanisms in international arbitration with Jeremy X Wilson and Ramon Luque; > A practical workshop on drafting effective arbitration clauses with Monique Mendez O'Donoghue, Patricia Snell, and Alex Carn; > A deep dive into investor-State arbitration with Paris Aboro, Juliette Huard Bourgois, and Georg Stigelbauer; > A session on construction arbitration with Erin Thomas, Patrick O'Grady, and Daniel Jacobs; The event concluded with an insightful fireside chat on “Investing in the legal future of Africa,” moderated by Jeremy Wilson, featuring Fiona Hill CBE (Founder, Future Resilience Forum) and Emma Priestley (CEO, GoldStone Resources). We would like to thank our exceptional speakers, as well as the participants of the 2026 Africa Arbitration Academy, for making the day such a success. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring together practitioners from different jurisdictions, and to contribute to the continued development of arbitration across Africa and beyond.
