That’s a wrap on our Creative Tech Fest! What an incredible experience it’s been. Spread over two weeks, the public workshops brought together animation, games, immersive media, and digital storytelling, featuring student exhibitions, an artists’ alley, industry guests, hands-on workshops, and cutting-edge mixed reality and VR experiences. We had the opportunity to join members of the public at our: ◾ Digital art and drawing workshop, which focused on developing illustration skills using tablets and creative software ◾ 3D scanning and character modelling event where participants sculpted their own characters using clay or playdough, then learnt how to scan their creations into digital form using accessible 3D‑capture tools ◾ 8-bit character creation workshop, where visitors got to bring ideas to life with simple code, making characters move or react on screen Missed out on this opportunity?
