🌟 As a Mom, My Heart is Full. 🌟 At just five years old, my daughter Jade had more than enough toys and wanted to give back. We reached out to OLOL Children’s Hospital to ask what items they needed most, and Jade chose blankets. That single act of kindness became the seed of what is now The Jade Cares Foundation. This year marks 11 years of Jade collecting and donating blankets to OLOL. Over that time, she has delivered more than 2,000 blankets, wrapping children and families in warmth, comfort, and love during some of their hardest days. 💜 One parent shared,“I had no idea how much difference a cute softy blanket could make! Your efforts mean so much to me and my family and no doubt to many other families who were blessed by your gifts.” This year’s blanket delivery was extra special because we were joined by Speaker Pro Temp Senator Regina Barrow who has supported Jade’s efforts since day one, and Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter President LaConga Hilliard Scott, MSW and GEMS Co-Chair Sherice J. where Jade is a mentee. As a mom, I’m incredibly proud of Jade, not just for what she’s accomplished, but for who she’s becoming. Her compassion reminds us that leadership isn’t about age or titles it’s about seeing a need and choosing to meet it with heart. #Leadership #YouthEmpowerment #CommunityImpact #JadeCares #ServiceWithHeart #DeltaSigmaTheta #GEMS #SenatorReginaBarrow #OLOLChildrensHospital #WrappedInLove #Philanthropy #ProudMom
